You Are The Fix

This is a continuation of a message I have transcribed and edited from a talk Ishvara gave on April 2, 2006. - TG.

It is not difficult to realize this awareness when you think about what Life is, when you look at yourself and see what you are. You are Life happening; you are a human being expressing possibilities of Life. That is not different from what I am. It is just that often you are caught in delusions. You have accepted the lies of systems and structures, beliefs and concepts. You have denied yourself the opportunity of your lifetime, thinking that "this isn't it," thinking and believing that there must be something else.
There is nothing else. This is it! That may frighten you, but as long as you think there is something else, you don't do what needs to be done. You avoid Life. You don't live fully and completely in the moment, but instead you are always, at least subtly, waiting for the "pie in the sky," the next lifetime, the miracle, or the Great Being who will someday come from some place and rescue you.
The Great Being is here right now. I haven't come to rescue you. I have come just to wake you up. I am here for you, to awaken you to the present, to awaken you to WHAT IS present.
I have often thought that perhaps it is too soon, perhaps you haven't suffered enough, tortured yourself enough, or scared yourself enough. Perhaps you are not sick enough to realize the cure, the medicine. Maybe you are still thinking that by some magic, some prayer, a religious manifestation will come and fix things. That won't happen, because what you are waiting for is YOU, the Self that you are. You are the miracle. You are the "fix" for humanity. You are the bringer of transformation as you awaken to that. As you awaken to that, you awaken to greater possibilities.
Yes, it seems that darkness is all around us. People are in survival mode, and for good reason. If you look at humanity from that place you will recognize that survival is at stake. Some maniac could blow up the world. Indeed, the maniac may be in our own country. It just takes one push of one button to set off a chain reaction with no end of trouble.
So if you are concerned with survival, I regret to inform you that you will not survive. You cannot survive at this level of complacency and indifference. You cannot survive at this level of consumption, using up the world.
Survival requires moving to the next level of existence, the next level of connection and awareness, embracing the true human, the transcendent human, the human who lives in connection with all of Life, with all of existence, the human who sees the bigger picture, the human who knows the highest good is taking place but sees that it is moving to the next level.
Now, it is hard to see or believe that the highest good is taking place at this level. Therefore, it is easy to conclude that the highest good must be at the next level up. But you must be careful, because that becomes a bit of magical thinking. You need to recognize that you already have the ability to bring into focus the next level. It is not something that is separate or different from where you are--no more than that you are "somebody else" when you are asleep and dreaming. While you are sleeping, you may dream that you are someone else, but you are still you.
In that sense, the next level of existence for humanity is already here. It is a matter of waking up to it. In this awareness, you become a "waker."
So embrace it. This is not a false hope or "pie in the sky." I know that if I can be aware of this, so can you. I know that Life would not have awakened me to this possibility unless it were possible for you. I would be pretty angry with Life if Life had handed this to me even though it wouldn't work. That would be like getting a big package, a big gift at Christmas. You open it on Christmas morning, and you are all excited, but you find out that the batteries are not included, so it won't work.
With this awareness, the batteries are included. The energy is here. It is present, it is possible, it is waiting to be activated. There is nothing that needs to be added to it. You just open up and there it is.
